PM Kisan 24th Installment Released: How to Check Your ₹2,000 Payment Status

The PM Kisan 24th installment was released on 30 October 2026. The Prime Minister did the release from Banaskantha in Gujarat, and the ₹2,000 is meant to go straight into the bank accounts of eligible farmer families through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Now comes the question most farmers actually care about: has my money come? This guide shows you how to check, and what to do if it hasn’t.

Has the Money Reached Your Account Yet?

Release day and credit day are not always the same thing. The government transfers the funds centrally, but every bank then posts the amount to its own customers. So one farmer may get an SMS by afternoon, while a neighbour sees nothing for a day or two.

If your phone has stayed quiet so far, don’t worry yet. Give it 24 to 48 hours before you start chasing anyone. In the meantime, you can check on your own using the steps below.

Step-by-Step: Check Your PM Kisan 24th Installment Status

You only need your registration number and a phone with internet.

  1. Open pmkisan.gov.in.
  2. On the home page, find Farmers Corner.
  3. Tap Know Your Status.
  4. Type your registration number and the captcha.
  5. Tap Get Data.

You will see a list of your installments with a payment status. Don’t skip the other fields on that page. Look at your e-KYC, land seeding and Aadhaar-bank seeding entries. If one of them says “No” or “Pending”, that is very often the reason a payment is stuck.

Don’t remember your registration number? Use Know Your Registration No. on the same page. You will need the mobile number you registered with.

Another Way: Check Directly With Your Bank

The portal can sometimes be slow on release day, so the bank route is useful too. Check for an SMS from your bank, update your passbook or open your bank’s app. A DBT credit usually shows up with the scheme name or “PM KISAN” in the narration, and the amount will be ₹2,000.

If you see the credit in your bank but the portal still shows an older status, give the portal a day to update

How Much Do You Get, and How Often?

An eligible landholding farmer family receives ₹6,000 a year, split into three installments of ₹2,000 each. The 24th installment is one of those payments. It is paid per family, not per person. Here, “family” means husband, wife and minor children.

How to Check the Beneficiary List

  1. Go to Farmers Corner and open Beneficiary List.
  2. Select your state, district, sub-district, block and village.
  3. Tap Get Report.

One honest warning: seeing your name in this list does not mean your payment has been made. Always trust Know Your Status for the real answer.

PM Kisan e-KYC: The Step Many Farmers Miss

The official portal says e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers. A lot of “payment not received” complaints come down to this one step. If it shows pending against your name, you can finish it in three ways:

  1. On the portal with OTP: Go to Farmers Corner, tap e-KYC, enter your Aadhaar number, then the OTP that arrives on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. This only works when that mobile number is actually linked with Aadhaar.
  2. With face authentication: Use the PM-KISAN mobile app along with the Aadhaar Face RD app. Follow the on-screen face-scan steps.
  3. At a Common Service Centre (CSC): Take your Aadhaar card and complete a biometric e-KYC. Some centres charge a small fee.

Even if it is too late for this installment, finishing e-KYC now saves you a lot of trouble before the next one.

Who Is Eligible for PM Kisan?

The scheme is meant for farmer families who own cultivable land. State governments identify eligible families as per the scheme guidelines. Registering on the portal alone does not make anyone eligible.

Under the guidelines, some categories are not eligible, for example:

  • Institutional landholdersPeople who hold, or have held, constitutional posts, along with ministers, MPs and MLAs
  • Serving or retired government employees (lower-level staff such as multi-tasking and Group D employees are treated separately)
  • Pensioners getting ₹10,000 or more per monthAnyone who paid income tax in the last assessment year
  • Registered professionals such as doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and architects

Rules can be updated from time to time, so read the latest guidelines on the portal.

Why Your PM Kisan Payment Might Not Have Come

If more than two days have passed and nothing has arrived, one of these is the likely cause:

  • e-KYC is not Done
  • your bank account is not linked with Aadhaar, or it is not enabled for DBT
  • Your name is spelled differently in the Aadhaar, bank and land records
  • Land records have not been verified
  • The account number or IFSC code was entered wrongly
  • The bank account is inactive or closed
  • State-level verification is still pending
  • The applicant falls under an excluded category

Most of these are small fixes, not big problems.

What to Do If Your Payment Is Pending

  • Open Know Your Status and read the exact message shown.
  • Complete any pending e-KYC.Visit your bank and ask them to confirm that the account is active and linked with Aadhaar.
  • If your name is spelled differently across documents, get it corrected.
  • For land record issues, speak to your local revenue or agriculture office.
  • Call the PM-KISAN helpline at 155261, or use the grievance option on the portal.

Keep your registration number, Aadhaar and bank passbook handy when you call. It makes things much quicker.

Watch Out for Fake Messages

After every installment, fake links start circulating on WhatsApp and Facebook promising “instant payment” or asking you to “verify” your account. The government will never ask for your OTP, PIN or bank password. If a message makes you uneasy, ignore it and use only the official portal.
